Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and the provider of Our Tiny Planet (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
1. Who can use Our Tiny Planet
You must be 18 or over. By using the app, you confirm that you are. You need an account, and you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for what happens on your account.
2. Your shared world
Our Tiny Planet is shared between you and one partner, who joins with your invite code. Anything you share in the app (for example messages, letters, photos, voice notes and shared journal entries) can be seen by your partner. Only invite someone you trust.
If you delete your account, your private content is deleted. The world you shared (the land, the home and what is in it) stays with your partner so that they do not lose it.
3. Your content
You own what you create and share in Our Tiny Planet. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to you and your partner, only so that we can provide the app. This permission ends when the content is deleted.
You must not share anything that is illegal, that you do not have the right to share, or that harasses, threatens or harms another person.
4. Using the app fairly
You agree not to:
- misuse the app, or try to access information that is not yours;
- interfere with how the app works, or try to get around its limits or security;
- copy, sell or resell the app or any part of it;
- use the app to harm, harass or threaten anyone.
If someone makes you feel unsafe, you can leave the couple straight away (Settings → Account → Leave this couple) and report it to us (Settings → Legal and support → Report a problem). We read every report within a day and may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
5. Stardust, Comets and other in-app items
Stardust, Comets, buildings, upgrades and other items in the app are for use inside Our Tiny Planet only. They have no value outside the app and cannot be exchanged for real money.
You can buy Comets through the App Store or Google Play, and those purchases are also subject to their terms. You must be 18 or over to buy. Comets are added to your wallet as soon as the purchase goes through. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules and your legal rights; if a purchase is refunded, we take back the Comets it gave, as many as are still in your wallet. Stardust is never sold. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
The Couple Plan. The Couple Plan is an optional subscription, monthly or yearly, bought through the App Store or Google Play by either partner (you must be 18 or over). While it is active, every upgrade is open for both partners in the couple, and each partner receives 25 Comets a week. It does not include buildings or Store items (looks, decorations and outfits). The yearly plan may start with a free trial; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and you are charged. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase (or when the free trial ends). The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and the plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Any unused part of a free trial is lost when you subscribe. When the plan ends, upgrades you did not buy lock again; Comets already given stay in your wallet, and nothing you made with the upgrades is deleted. If you leave the couple, the plan stays with the store account that bought it.
6. Changes to the app
We are always working on Our Tiny Planet, so features may change, be added or be removed. We will try to give notice of significant changes. We may also need to pause the app for maintenance.
7. Our responsibility to you
We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control (such as a failure of a phone network or a third-party service), or for business losses, as the app is for personal use.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. You can also leave a couple at any time in Settings → Account → Leave this couple; your partner keeps your shared world. We may end this agreement if you seriously break these terms, or if we stop providing the app, in which case we will give you reasonable notice where we can.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will update the date at the top and, if a change is significant, tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the new terms, you can delete your account.
10. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
